Since we’re well on our way to finalising the Chainge app beta version, we continue our series of walkthroughs with a couple of functionalities everyone will surely use (from retailers to businesses alike): payments and payment requests.
Your cross chain transactions will be completed in a matter of seconds; with no hassle, no huge overhead fees and no worries about security.
So, let’s get started on the payment process to an address or a contact of your choosing:
Payments — Send Assets to an address
1. On your main wealth screen, click on Payments.
2. Then, tap on “Send Assets” & you will be sent to the input amount screen
3. On this screen, your time-framed balance as well as your spot balance will be displayed so you can choose between the two.
4. If you want to search for a certain currency, click on the asset box, open the asset selection box, click on the search icon, see the results, click on your desired asset and then return to the input amount page.
5. On the input amount page, fill in the sum you want to send and the Send button will become active. (if you want to send your whole available balance just click the “Max” button)
6. Click the “Send” button and fill in the Address input field
7. After you fill in the address, you will be automatically asked to “Choose the chain you want to use”
8. Select the chain you want to use it will turn yellow
9. Then click on the “Pay Now” button.
10. Depending on the chain you chose you might need gas to perform the transaction. So, the “Gas Needed” screen will appear. You will then have to manually send gas to the mentioned address. When done, click the “I Sent Gas” button.
11. The chain box will then appear without the gas label.
12. You can now click on the “Pay Now” button
13. Sign and confirm the transaction.
14. And all done. You will be sent to the order confirmation screen.
15. Click on the “View Orders” button and you will be able to see all the details of your order.
Payments — Send Assets to a contact
1. On your main wealth screen, click on Payments.
2. Then, tap on “Send Assets” & you will be sent to the input amount screen
3. On this screen, your time-framed balance as well as your spot balance will be displayed so you can choose between the two.
4. If you want to search for a certain currency, click on the asset box, open the asset selection box, click on the search icon, see the results, click on your desired asset and then return to the input amount page.
5. On the input amount page, fill in the sum you want to send and the Send button will become active. (if you want to send your whole available balance just click the “Max” button)
6. Click the “Send” button, choose the “to a contact” option and select your contact from your contact list
7. You’ll be sent to the confirmation screen and you will click on Pay Now button, which will take you to your Order confirmation screen.
8. You can click on the View Orders button to see the details of your order.
If you want to request a payment from a contact, it doesn’t get easier than this. With Chainge in your pocket, you’ll always be just a couple of taps away from your assets.
Request assets — from a contact
1. On the main wealth screen, click on “Payments”
2. Then, click on “Request Assets”
3. You will be sent to input requested amount screen where you will fill in the sum you want to request.
4. After you fill in the amount, click on the “Request” button.
5. The Receive asset screen will appear
6. Click on the “Share” button.
7. On the next screen you can choose to share the request “With a Contact” or “On Social Networks”.
8. Click on the contact you want to send the request to.
9. Sign the transaction & all done! Your request has been sent.
Now let’s move on to how the request receiver will see and process the payment request.
1. On the main wealth screen, tap your notification icon (the bell icon on the top right).
2. The notifications listing screen will open.
3. Click on the ‘@…. requested you money’ card.
4. You will be sent to the summary screen
5. Click on the Pay Now button.
6. If you don’t have enough funds you will be notified and after you add funds to your wallet you can click on the “I sent funds to my wallet” button and return to the summary screen where you will click the Pay Now button again.
7. If you don’t have enough gas, you will also be notified and after you add gas you can click on the “I sent gas to my wallet” button, return to the summary screen & click the Pay Now button again.
8. Sign the transaction. And all done! You’ll be sent to you Order confirmation screen.
And that’s the way the cookie crumbles!
