On-boarding has never been easier. Let’s take the first steps in the Chainge app together
We are all beyond excited that the first 100 users on the waiting list will get to test the Chainge application in just a few days’ time. So, naturally since we want all Chaingers to be ready to use the app, we thought a series of walkthroughs would be of great use. Plus, we wanted to show you what the app looks like before you get your hands on it ;)
Today we’re going to explore the on-boarding process and the steps required to have your CHNG tokens instantly transferred into your Chainge wallet as well as taking a look at the Chainge app dashboard.
So, let’s take it from the beginning. Once the app is ready for testing, the first 100 users will see a QR code on the chainge.finance website after signing in. They will have to scan it in order to download the app. (after testing, when the app will be available to all users it will appear in the Google Play Store for Android and App Store for iPhone)
Once you’ve downloaded the app, you’ll see the welcome screen and will be invited to get started.
1. Tap the “Let’s Start” Button -> Slide through and read the 3 introductory slides -> Then click on the yellow arrow button to continue.
2. You’ll be greeted by the Welcome to Chainge screen. Here is where you choose your on-boarding method — phone number or scan QR code.
3. If you choose to continue within the app with your phone number, tap the “Start with Phone number” button
4. The next step is to select your country of residence and input your phone number & then click on Verify number
5. You will receive a 4 digit code by SMS which you will have to fill in. And that’s it! Your new wallet is ready
6. You can now move on to Securing your wallet -> Tap the “Secure your wallet” button and set your passcode.
7. You will then be asked to confirm your passcode. Please make sure you don’t forget your passcode and keep it safe ’cause you’ll need it.
8. All done. You’ll be sent to your dashboard and you can start exploring your profile and features.
And then of course you have the option of using the easy on-boarding method by scanning a QR code. (recommended)
1. Tap the “Let’s Start” Button -> Slide through and read the 3 introductory slides -> Then click on the yellow arrow button to continue.
2. You’ll be greeted by the Welcome to Chainge screen. Here is where you choose your on-boarding method — phone number or scan QR code.
3. If you choose to continue by scanning the QR code, tap the “Continue with easy onboarding” button which will access and open your camera
4. Go to the chainge.finance website on your desktop, sign in, and under the earn tab in the waiting list section you will find your QR code which you can scan. Your wallet is ready!
5. You can now move on to Securing your wallet -> Tap the “Secure your wallet” button and set your passcode.
6. You will then be asked to confirm your passcode. Please make sure you don’t forget your passcode and keep it safe ’cause you’ll need it.
7. All done. You’ll be sent to your dashboard and you can start exploring your profile and features.
IMPORTANT NOTICE!
If you choose the easy on-boarding method by scanning the QR code, your CHNG tokens will be sent to your app wallet automatically.
If you choose to onboard with your phone number, you will have to use the magic button to scan the QR code on the website and then the tokens will be transferred to your newly created wallet. If your phone number is not linked to your account you will be asked to add it before proceeding.
In some cases, your phone number might be automatically detected, which means you already had a Chainge app account. Your account will be automatically checked and if you were in expert mode then you will be presented with the choice of importing your wallet. The flow in this situation will be a bit different but just as easy.
This is how it goes:
1. Tap the “Let’s Start” Button -> Slide through and read the 3 introductory slides -> Then click on the yellow arrow button to continue.
2. You’ll be greeted by the Welcome to Chainge screen, and this is where your phone number will be displayed if detected automatically. Click the yellow arrow button once more.
3. The welcome back screen will be displayed and you’ll have to tap the Continue button to move on.
4. Your 2 options will be displayed — to import an existing wallet or create a new wallet.
5. If you want to import an existing wallet, click on the input field
6. Word suggestions will appear
7. Tap on your seed phrase words and then you will be sent to the next screen which will show you your entire seed phrase.
8. Tap the Continue button, and your wallet will be imported
9. You can now move on to Securing your wallet -> Tap the “Secure your wallet” button and set your passcode.
10. You will then be asked to confirm your passcode. Please make sure you don’t forget your passcode and keep it safe ’cause you’ll need it.
11. And you’re set!
Now that you have your wallet ready and your CHNG tokens redeemed, we can move on to exploring your dashboard.
1. Under your balance you’ll have 3 stats sliders you can glide and check out info about the CHNG tokens, users and contacts.
2. The lower asset box can be dragged in 2 stages — middle and to the top.
3. You can see your different assets by tapping the asset type on the bottom slider which will change the currency above.
4. When you click the “Manage assets” button (the 3 lines icon) — the Manage assets box will be displayed. To close it you have to drag the box down and you’ll get back to the main screen.
6. You can search an asset by tapping the magnifying glass icon and the search screen will open.
7. Depending on your search, some results will be displayed and once you click on the asset you wanted, you’ll be sent back to the main screen.
8. When you tap the asset, the asset details screen will open.
9. Clicking the back arrow will send you back to the main screen.
10. You can then switch to the Orders tab to check out your orders.
11. You can drag the orders list all the way to the top and then back down
12. If you click the Filter icon, the Filter screen will open
13. You can filter orders “By type”, “By status” or “By date” and when you choose the desired type of filtering you can click the “Apply filters” button. The filter screen then closes and you’ll be sent back to the Orders listing screen.
And that’s all for today.
